Bannack

Project Overview
From August 2017 to May 2019 I performed as a member of the folk-rock band Bannack. Bannack is comprised of founding members Jamison Baken (vocals + violin), Benny Friedman (vocals + guitar) and Anna Scholfield (vocals + piano), as well as Carson Dent (drums) and myself (bass). The band was founded when all the members met while studying at the University of Southern California.
Bannack delivers unfiltered, palpable lyrics conveyed through the beauty of seamless harmonies and organic instrumentation. Drawing inspiration from the ghost town of Bannack, Montana, the band combines elements of Americana, Folk, Pop, Country, and Rock to conjure nostalgic memories of days past.
As a member of Bannack I played at many venues across Los Angeles, including The Mint and The Hotel Cafe. I am also featured on bass on their debut album, Compendium, released in 2018. The most popular song on the LP, ‘Scars, Pt. 3’ has garnered over 15k plays on Spotify. Compendium also features Clayton Sewelson, Harry Zec, Nicholas Eisenhauer, Randon Davitt, and Joe Zec.

Collaborations
In November 2017, Bannack collaborated with videographer & producer Ty Leet to create a live cover of ‘Daddy Lessons’ by Beyonce feat. Dixie Chicks. This work exemplifies Bannack’s passion for the country-rock genre and live performing. In this video I am featured on bass and backing vocals.
In March 2018, Bannack collaborated with dancers Alyssa Allen & Joseph Hetzer and filmographer Logan Fields to create a stunningly raw music video for their song ‘Scars, Pt. 3’ from the album Compendium. This work uses the intimacy of dance to convey the heartache of the song.
